Jim Varney is absolutely a funny man and I enjoy watching his movies show on DVD. For me he is the most funny American actor that I like. He is a simple man with a good sense of humor. He make people happy by acting funny. He is really funny and today I would tell you a bit about him. James Albert "Jim" Varney Jr. was born on June 15, 1949 and the year 2000 he was became an American character actor and comedian. He is best know for his slapstick style and his portrayal or "redneck" stereotypes in a friendly approachable way.Varney was the fourth child and son of Louise Varney and James Albert Varney Sr. Jim Varney grew up in Lexington Kentucky. Jim had an ability to memorize long poems and significant portions of materials from books in which he used to entertain family and friends. When Jim was young his mother used to put the black and white TV on cartoons for him to watch. His mother noticed that Jim easily began to imitate the cartoon characters so his mother got him into a children's theater when he was eight years old. He began his interest in theater as a teenager winning state titles in drama competitions while a student at Lafayette High School where he graduated. Jim studied Shakespeare at the Barter Theater located in Virginia and performed in an Maryland show its first year of operation in the 1970's.
